Below you can read about 9 factors that have a strong impact on health and what is even better you can influence them. It is up to you to decide what to change in your daily routine and habits. You are deciding whether you will to sit up late, eat unhealthy food, do not drink water at all, do not exercise, or being constantly under stress for no clear reason. However, you are not aware that these are only your decisions.

If you want to change something, but you can’t help yourself, it is because you have not made a firm decision. Every single change begins with a clear, firm, and conscious decision. With a little persistence and awareness, everything is possible.

9 factors that have a strong impact on your  overall health

  • Good nutrition

Eat and drink whatever you want, do not deny yourself anything. The point is to have a balance: do not eat or drink in large quantities food that you know is not healthy. Once in a while “a piece of a cake”, “pizza” or hot dog” is not going to kill you. Particularly if you are going to spend up more time on physical activity to lose that extra energy. Having good and balanced nutrition means eating a variety of foods: eating regular meals, including whole grains, fiber, fruit, and vegetables, and limiting the amount of fat, sugar, and salt.

Good nutrition can help: reduce the risk of different diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, various types of cancers, and osteoporosis. Good Nutrition also reduces high blood pressure and can lower high cholesterol. If you have good nutrition you can improve your overall well-being, improve your ability to fight off illness, improve your ability to recover from illness or injury and more importantly increase your energy level.

  • Drink plenty of water

70% of the human body is made up of water. It helps keep all processes running smoothly. Your body uses water in all its cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate temperature and maintain other bodily functions. Because your body loses water through breathing, sweating, and digestion, it’s important to rehydrate by drinking fluids and eating foods that contain water. You should maintain 70% of water in your body constantly.

  • Rest and sleep well

Sleep is an essential function that allows your body and mind to recharge, leaving you refreshed and alert when you wake up. Healthy sleep also helps the body remain healthy and stave off diseases. Without enough sleep, the brain cannot function properly. This can impair your abilities to concentrate, think clearly, and process memories.

  • Еxposure to sunlight

When you think of the sun, your first thought might be about the damage it can do. the truth is that too much can cause several kinds of serious health issues. But small amounts, especially early in the day before it’s at its brightest, can be good for you in some ways. Sunlight helps boost a chemical in your brain called serotonin, and that can give you more energy and help keep you calm, positive, and focused.  The sun’s UV rays help your body make D vitamin, which is important for your bones, blood cells, and immune system.

  • Getting fresh air

Fresh air means higher levels of oxygen but not mean lower levels of pollution. Exposure to more oxygen causes the blood vessels in your lungs to dilate, which improves cleansing and tissue repair within them, and helps them exchange gases more easily. Oxygen is absolutely essential in maintaining healthy brain function, growth, and healing. In fact, the brain uses about three times as much oxygen for healthy neuron function, as muscles do. The brain is extremely sensitive to decreases in oxygen levels. Take short walks throughout the day.

  • Keep balance in life

A balanced life means making time for the things you have to do, as well as the things you like to do. You have the power to create harmony between your responsibilities and finding time daily to do things that bring you pleasure, personal fulfillment, and rejuvenation. When you are living with balance in your life, actually you are living with peace and harmony every day.

  • Control your stress level

Controlling your stress level means you should consciously attempt to minimize, tolerate or eliminate stressors and problems in life. This can help your mind and body adapt (resilience). Without it, your body might always be on high alert. Over time, if you do not keep an eye on the stress level in your everyday living, it can become chronic stress. it can lead to serious health problems. Don’t wait until stress damages your health, relationships, or quality of life.

  • Be optimistic and have a hope

Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. – Helen Keller. Positive thinking can lead to a lot of positive changes in your life. Developing an optimistic outlook can be good for both your physical and mental health. If you’re actively working to recognize the positive aspects of your life and be grateful for them, you’ll naturally start to see the bright side in challenging situations. Health benefits of positive thinking and optimism include reduced stress, better psychological and physical well-being, and better-coping skills during stressful times.

  • Exercise regularly

Exercise improves your mood and gives you an improved sense of well-being. Physical activity stimulates the release of endorphins which make you feel better. Exercise helps to lose weight and lower the risk of some diseases. Exercising regularly lowers the risk of developing some diseases, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure. Exercise also can help keep your body at a healthy weight and your mind in good mood.
